    Ashley ML Studios The Portrait Photographer of Chicago.

  Ashley Mikkelsen-Lueders grew up in Hoffman Estates near the Chicago region with a long line of photographers in her family. All her life she grew up with a camera in her hand, seeing the world through a lens. She is a Graduate from The Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg. Ashley has been able to shoot engagement parties, Weddings, Christmas parties and events around Chicago. Her passion is for family portraits, but she also creates unbelievable landscapes, nature, machine and animal photography.

  For Ashley’s photos, she uses sunlight in on-location shoots because of the openness of the model to the camera and the beauty of the arrangement. She also loves to let the model do their own thing with some guidance on the overall look. She does this because of the natural shots she can get in the way of the model being themselves in front of the camera and how the model’s true self shines through. She gets the beautiful shots that show who the person really is. Though through all this, she is able to create beautiful studio shots with both simple and complex setups. She says no matter the person, she will make them a photo they will cherish for generations because she loves to see that person light up when they receive the perfect picture.
